GEORGES ST. PIERRE vs. DAN HARDY

Fight Overview:  St. Pierre, a top pound for pound contender, puts his Welterweight title on the line against Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy, one of the division's best strikers.  Hardy has extreme knockout power, but St. Pierre steamrolls everyone he fights, and Hardy will likely be no exception.

Hardy's Strengths:  Hardy has great kickboxing and great power.

Hardy's Weaknesses:  Hardy has very little wrestling or ground game.

St. Pierre's Strengths:  His wrestling is the best in the sport, his submission game is quite good, and he has very solid kickboxing.  He is also in excellent condition.

St. Pierre's Weaknesses:  St. Pierre has been stopped on strikes by less powerful strikers than Hardy, and has shown a tendency to flounder when things aren't going his way.

The Verdict:  Hardy is done for.  No one in the Welterweight division, including dominant wrestlers like Matt Hughes and Josh Koscheck, has been able to do anything to stop St. Pierre's wrestling game, and it is unlikely that Dan Hardy, with his lack of a wrestling game to speak of, is going to do any better.  St. Pierre will take down Hardy at will and lambast him from top position for the stoppage.

Fight Prediction:  Georges St. Pierre remains Champ by second round T/KO.
